Belt promotions
To support each child in their Taekwondo development they go through a series of belt promotion test(Gradings). Belt promotions test are used to test a students to see if they have a firm understanding of the required techniques for their belt level. Belt tests take place 3-4 times per year.
Students are only able to take part in the belt promotion test if they meet the below criteria.
- Attended the required minimum number of lessons for their belt level.
- Has a firm understanding of all the movements required.
- Been recommended by the instructor.
- Shown the required characteristics needed for a student.
Annual Membership
As a students with Blue Wave Taekwondo (Washington Taekwondo) each student is required to to renewal their annual membership to the British Taekwondo Council. Annual membership is a compulsory for all students & instructors and is automatically added to your monthly direct debit each year (the month you started). Your initial annual membership comes part of your beginners starter packs.
Online training
As a members of our School you have access to our members only training site. Giving you 24/7 access to continue to train at home.
Sickness and missed lessons
We understand that time to time students will be ill or unable to attend your lessons. To support these event you will be able to access our online training so that you do not miss any development. Alternately you can attend a different lesson the following week to make up your training. But please speak to your instructor before hand.
School Closure dates
As of 1st January 2024 we will be introducing certain dates where classes will be off.
- Bank Holiday Mondays
- Easter Sunday
- 1 X Week in the summer Holiday
- Christmas 23rd December – 1st Janaury
